Fernley Scouts

Don’t forget if you have signed up for the Pinewood Derby it is this weekend.

Friday 7pm at Cottonwood Elementary School we have test and tune, where you can try out your car on the actual track!

Saturday, at CES again, is a full day with 9am to 9:45 registration being open.  If you are not in line at 9:45 you will not get to race in the Pinewood Derby.  The Pinewood Derby (that is the Cub Scout races) will start shortly afterwards.

Due to the lack of interest in the Fernley Cup, the Cubmaster has decided to cancel the event.  Apologies to the few entrants.  Those that paid their entrance fees will be reimbursed for it.

Please note that the Pinewood Derby for the Cub Scouts is still going ahead.  That will still start at around 10 am, shortly after registration closes at 9:45 am.

Hey Everyone,

Due to the lack of interest in this year’s Fernley Cup, I am unfortunately going to have to cancel it. I have had only three entries with less than 2 weeks till the race. If you have already signed-up and paid you will be fully reimbursed on the 17^th. If you have any questions please feel free to call me @ 866-494-PACK ext#2. Sorry if this creates any inconvenience.

It is one week until the sign up deadline. The deadline to sign up is January 9^th, 2009.  Remember this is open to ALL SCOUTS in Fernley, Fallon, and Silver Springs.

There will be a $5.00 late sign-up fee for all scouts who sign up after January 9^th, 2009.

The Pinewood Derby and Fernley Cup are only two weeks away now.  I hope everyone has been working on their cars!

Every Scout who is doing the Pinewood Derby that was at the Pack Meeting last week should have received their Pinewood Derby car.  If you want to take part but have not yet received your car, please speak to your Den Leader about it at your next Den meeting.
